How long has SRS been engaged in the service sector?

SRS has turned the age o 2,5. I can say we are the first to implement this service as a corporate offering in Turkey. In the course of time, both the number of our apartments and our experience hasgrown... In parallel to it, the quality of the service we render augments day by day.

Mr. Haluk, could you please briefly introduce yourself and describe the evolution of My House in Istanbul, in other words the SRS company?

I graduated from the Economical and Commercial Sciences Academy in Istanbul. I was born in Istanbul. During the university years, me and my wife set up the Haniteks company. It was a debut to my business career with the textile sector. We are also a textile exporter at the moment. One night, the idea for My House in Istanbul project came to my mind, I thought and decided to give it a try. The system grew much faster than I expected and reached the current progress.

How can you briefly introduce this system?
What does it do?

This is an apartment renting system that brings the home comfort to persons residing outside Istanbul but need to travel to Istanbul for short periods for business or other reasons (domestic and foreign directors, businessmen, exhibitor companies, expo visitors, purchasing professionals, representatives, dealers, congress participants, trainees and people travelling for medical treatment) and extensively implemented in plenty of countries worldwide (primarily in Paris, London, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, and even Kazakhstan and Dubai). Our rentals offer the home comfort to the guests along with a design tailored to the typical home aura (equipped with white goods and all other standard needs). Particularly their highly-appreciated location just 10-15 minute far from fairgrounds in Istanbul combined with no restriction in the number of guests with respect to the size of the apartment provides great advantages to our guests in terms of time and budget.

What distinguishes this system from other accommodation alternatives?

As no restriction on the number of guests to accommodate in our apartments is applied, 1 to 4 people can accommodate in the house as far as the size of the house allows. The possibility to come and leave at any time you desire, cook your own food or order from outside at no special rates, connect to internet through the wireless system for any time you desire and enjoy TV and DVD through Digiturk or satellite systems as accompanied with a 5.1 sound quality, feeling the convenience to know nothing used in the house will bring in any extra charge on you; staying in a calm and silent aura away from that monotonous and mechanical climate of other accommodation alternatives, and feeling the convenience of hosting your guests at any time you desire…in short feeling comfortable and peaceful like staying home, are the major factors underlying our distinctive position.

Do you work serve reputable companies or enterprises?

Of course… In particular the companies that have tried and get satisfied with this service abroad seek the same level of service for their incoming guests or themselves. We serve globally reputable companies such as THY, İş Bank, Garanti Bank, Vakıfbank, Borusan and Çelebi Air Services. Many companies abroad prefer our apartments too…

Do you have any established criteria? In other words, what requirements does any prospective lessee face?

First, of course reliability and honesty are our key criteria. We work on reservation basis. In principle, minimum accommodation period is 3 days, but thanks to this system, we offer the possibility to stay for 1 to 2 days for businessmen that frequently travel to Istanbul. Basically, you purchase 30 days in one year and use this credit at any time and for any duration you desire throughout this period. In this system, we do not require the minimum stay period of 3 days. In other words, you may even stay 1 day and then leave. You are simply expected to call us and inform about your arrival. We have built intimate friendships with companies we met. Across the trust built by this intimacy, our guests now feel without any concern that they have a house in Istanbul. I have a memorable experience when a general manager of a company that we regularly serve uttered, “Oh my dear house” when he stepped in the doorway after his arrival to Istanbul. This is a great pleasure for me.
